THE TAHLEE EXPERIENCE  NEW TOUR   Thursday – February 8th 

Cost $65 per person (morning tea & lunch included)   Pick up between 8.00 & 8.30 

We travel south to Tahlee near Karuah for an unforgettable day. We attend a guided tour of Historic heritage listed Tahlee house (built in 1826), Chapel, Ballroom, convict built Boat Harbour, pristine waterfront and elaborate gardens. We enjoy a scrumptious morning tea and freshly cooked lunch served by volunteers in period attire. Sure to be an excellent day out. 

SUNDAY MYSTERY LUNCH      Sunday – February 11th 

Cost $25 per person (lunch not included)     Pick up between 9.30 & 10.00 

Venue changes monthly. Come aboard for a sightseeing drive with a yummy lunch en route. You’ll never know where we will end up. We try to take you to a venue for lunch where Busy Bus hasn’t taken a group previously. This is one of our most popular trips. We also celebrate birthdays on these trips. For guessing the destination, we give away Laurieton Lolly shop or Peg’s Place gift vouchers. 

HIGH TEA LOU’S CAFÉ   NEW TOUR   Tuesday – February 13th 

Cost $50 per person       Pick up between 9.00 & 9.30 

First stop is morning tea at Riccardo’s Tomatoes followed by High Tea at Lou’s Café Kempsey. Lou’s Café is a famous and very popular eatery for breakfast and lunch. Lou has expanded into the adjacent historic old Bank building and is offering fantastic High Teas in a wonderful atmosphere. This is a very impressive experience. 

BELLINGEN MARKETS       Saturday – February 17th 

Cost $30 per person       Pick up between 7.00 & 7.30 

One of our most popular day trips. Arrive at the markets around 10-30am. Browse the market stalls & walk around the main street with all the shops, galleries & eateries open. Bellingen is a lovely town on Waterfall way nestled on the Bellinger River. After lunch browse The Yellow Shed before returning home. 

EUNGAI CREEK Funkya@Unkya  MARKET    Sunday – February 25th 

Cost $30 per person       Pick up between 7.30 & 8.00 

Funkya@Unkya is a grass roots bi-monthly community market for 'make it, bake it, sew it, grow it' producers and creatives. They also support the concept of 'reuse, recycle and re-invent' Funkya@Unkya is growing and gaining wide acclaim as a wonderfully enjoyable experience. Live music by local musicians, Workshops, demonstrations, playground, home style food, large selection of local produce and products plus quality recycled goods. After the markets we have a delicious Chinese lunch at Stuarts Point Recreation & Bowling Club. 

FORSTER SHOPPING DAY Monday – February 27th

Cost $30 per person      Pick up between 8-00 & 8.30

Our most popular shopping trip.  Arrive at Stocklands Mall around 10am. Stores include Kmart, Target, Aldi, Lowes, Millers, Best & Less, Reject Shop, Pet Barn, Bunnings. Enjoy lunch at one of the many yummy eateries. After lunch browse the interesting boutique shops and op shops just over the bridge in Forster.

OUTBACK WARES CAFÉ & BEECHWOOD CAFÉ  ~ NEW TRIP ~ Tuesday – March 13th

Cost $30 per person (morning tea & lunch not included)      Pick up between 9.00 & 9.30

First stop is Aussie Outback Wares & Café in Wauchope. There will be time to browse the shops and op shops before travelling west to Beechwood Café for a hearty lunch. On the way home we will check out the new Beechwood estate.

MANNING RIVER SUNSET CRUISE  NEW TRIP Monday – March 19th

Cost $75 per person (includes dinner, dessert & cruise)       Pick up between 3.30 & 4.00 

Departing from Taree Rowing Club Wharf at 5.00pm, we board the “Island Explorer” for a 3.5 hour cruise. The boat meanders along the picturesque Manning River with the sun setting over the water. Enjoy fresh roast dinner with dessert, and freshly brewed tea & coffee on board. There is also a licenced bar on board.

TAREE CRAFT CENTRE HIGH TEA  NEW TRIP Thursday – March 22nd

Cost $45 per person (high tea included)      Pick up between 9.00 & 9.30

First stop we browse the Secret Farmers Market where you can taste some bacon, wurst, sourdough bread or sauerkraut from Mentges Master Meats as well as marvelous cheese and dairy products from Comboyne Cheese. There is locally grown fruit & veggies as well. Next we have a scrumptious High Tea at Taree Craft Centre. High Tea includes scones with jam and cream, mini quiches, vol au vents, sausage rolls, sandwiches, cupcakes, assorted slices, tea and coffee all served on vintage plates, cups and saucers.

PACIFIC PALMS MARKETS NEW TRIP Sunday – March 25th

Cost $30 per person      Pick up between 8.00 & 8.30

Travel south along the Lakes Way to Pacific Palms located right on the Lake. The Palms Markets showcase quality handmade, home grown and home baked products from around the Great Lakes region and beyond. See the colourful stalls including eco and fair trade products, jewellery, art, craft, clothes, plants, fruit, veg and beautiful body products. Lunch is at Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club. 

BAGO VINEYARD & BAGO TAVERN  NEW TRIP Tuesday – March 27th

Cost $30 per person      Pick up between 8.30 & 9.00

First stop is Bago Winery for morning tea overlooking the vines and the maze. We take a wine making tour and sample some wine. We then have a stroll through Wauchope shopping centre, the department store and circle of friends gift shop followed by lunch at Bago Tavern which is always a good meal. Be sure to browse Glenbourne Nursery next door. We will call into Vickers Fudge on the way home.

BULAHDELAH & MYALL SHORES  NEW TRIP Thursday – April 5th

Cost $35 per person (morning tea & lunch not included)    Pick up between 8.30 & 9.00

First stop is Andy’s Cherry Pie Café at Coolongolook. We then travel via the old Pacific Highway via Wootton winding through the mountain to Bulahdelah. The road is in fairly good condition and is still a pretty drive. We have a hearty lunch at The Plough Inn at Bulahdelah. After lunch we take a scenic drive to Bombah Point on the peaceful Myall River.

STUARTS POINT & SCOTTS HEAD TOUR Monday – April 9th

$30 per person (lunch not included)    Pick up between 8.30 & 9.00

We head north with morning tea at South Kempsey service centre before travelling via the Macksville bypass crossing the new bridge over the Nambucca River. We then take a scenic drive via Yarrahapinni, Stuarts Point, Grassy Head & Scotts Head. We enjoy lunch at Scotts Head Bowling Club before returning home.

SEAL ROCKS & SUGAR LOAF POINT  NEW TRIP Friday – April 13th

Cost $30 per person (morning tea & lunch not included)    Pick up between 8.30 & 9.00

We travel south with morning tea at The Deck Café overlooking the glorious water at Tuncurry. Next we travel via the Lakes Way to Seal Rocks and take in the magnificent scenery at Sugar Loaf Point and its beautiful lighthouse. Next is lunch at Pacific Palms Bowling Club. After lunch we visit Green Cathedral an outdoor church on the shores of Wallis Lake.

NAMBUCCA RIVER LUNCHEON CRUISE Thursday – April 19th

$65 per person (cruise, BBQ lunch, dessert tea & coffee included)    Pick up between 8.30 & 9.00

We travel to Nambucca Heads and board the “Osprey” and cruise the beautiful Nambucca River. Enjoy expert commentary, take in the lovely scenery and maybe spot some dolphins during our 3 hour cruise. Lunch is steak, sausages, jacket potatoes with sour cream, tossed salad, pasta salad, fried rice, dinner roll, dessert, tea and coffee.

BALLINA GETAWAY TOUR      19th – 22nd February 2018   NEW TRIP

Tour highlights include We take in the glorious sights of Ballina, Lennox Head and Byron Bay and enjoy this part of the NSW north coast with its beautiful scenery and lookouts. Enjoy a visit to Cape Byron Lighthouse and museum, Australia’s most easterly point and take in the stunning views. We take an informative tractor tour and lunch at Summerland House farm, have morning tea at Macadamia Castle, there is an exciting safari tractor tour followed by fruit tastings and then lunch at Tropical Fruit World. We visit the amazing Crystal Castle and Shambhala Gardens, as well as a visit to Thursday Plantation and sample some goodies along with morning tea.  

BULAHDELAH TO NELSON BAY RIVER CRUISE    8th -9th March 2018 

Cost $410 per person* includes Myall River Cruise (morning tea and lunch included), 1 nights accommodation at the Marina Resort Nelson Bay, 1 dinner at the Resort, 1 buffet breakfast at the Resort, Entry to Tailor Made Fish Farms (includes lunch), guided tour of Port Stephens by local expert guide (*Based on twin share Single Supplement $55) 

Tour highlights include – Coach transfer to Bombah Point just south of Bullahdelah where we board the Moonshadow MV Surprise and cruise down the magnificent Myall River via Tea Gardens and Hawkes Nest to Nelson Bay. Morning tea and a superb lunch is provided on the boat. The coach will meet the boat at Nelson Bay Marina and there will be time to browse the Marina shops and main shopping precinct including the popular nothing over $22 shop. A local will board the bus and take us on an informative guided tour of the local area including Nelson Bay, Anna Bay Shoal Bay and Soldiers Point. We visit Tailor made Fish Farms where we join a guided tour of the Barramundi production facilities followed by an excellent fresh lunch.  

MOREE AUSTRALIA’S ARTESIAN SPA CAPITAL ~ 21st – 24th MAY 2018  NEW TRIP 

Cost $650 per person* includes 1 night accommodation at Stockman’s Motel Tamworth, 2 nights accommodation at Gwydir Thermal Pools Motel with 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners, 3 lunches and all entry and tour fees (*Based on Twin Share. Single Supplement $180) 

Tour highlights include ~ Travel west via Walcha to the Golden Guitar & Longyard Hotel Tamworth with an overnight stay in Tamworth. There is a tour of CSIRO telescopes in Narrabri, a Tour & lunch at Narrabri Fish Farm, Woolaway Wines tasting and BBQ lunch, McCrossins Mill Museum entry and lunch. When in Moree we enjoy the soothing mineral-rich waters of Australia’s artesian spa capital. Our Motel has 5 thermal pools to choose from. The area attracts thousands of visitors for the restorative properties in the mineral-rich waters from deep inside the Great Artesian Basin. The black alluvial soils around Moree support cotton, wheat, beef cattle, olive groves, vineyards and pecans. May is harvesting time for the local crops. We will visit some of the local attractions. 

SYDNEY VIVID FESTIVAL ~       12th – 14 th June 2018 

Cost $545 per person* includes 2 nights accommodation at the Great Southern Hotel Haymarket with 2 hot buffet breakfasts, 3 course dinner cruise taking in the spectacular harbour lights display, Entry and tour Vaucluse House, entry and tour Elizabeth Bay House, Paddys Market, (*Based on Twin Share. Tour highlights include ~ Coach transfer to Sydney with time to wander around Chinatown. We have an informative tour of Vaucluse House where we take in stunning views of the harbour followed by a tour of Elizabeth Bay House, before making our way to the famous Sydney Fish Markets & enjoy an excellent lunch from one of the many eateries (lunch at own expense). Following lunch we take a scenic drive of the CBD, Darling Harbour and The Rocks before returning to our Hotel. There will be time to freshen up before our 3 hour Sydney Harbour Dinner Cruise while watching the Vivid Festival Lights display.  

ANNUAL SYDNEY CRAFT & QUILT FAIR ~     21st - 22nd June 2018

Tour highlights include ~ Morning tea en route arriving at the Sydney International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour around 11am. Spend the rest of the day at the Fair before departing for our accommodation around 4pm. Many choices for dinner in CBD, Chinatown or Darling Harbour.  After breakfast return to the Fair before departing for home around 3pm. 

CHRISTMAS IN JULY ~ DORRIGO 12th ~ 13th July 2018

Cost $295 per person includes 1 night’s accommodation at the Heritage Hotel Motel Dorrigo, continental breakfast and Gladstone Hotel lunch, Dangar Falls and the Skywalk entry. (*Based on Twin Share. Single Supplement $60)

Tour highlights include ~ Morning tea is at the famous Crescent Head Bakery (at own expense). We take a scenic drive following the river to Gladstone where we browse the quaint shops and have a hearty lunch at the Hotel (lunch included). We then make our way to Bellingen where we have a look around town before continuing onto Dorrigo. Our accommodation is at the Heritage Hotel which was built in 1925 and is a classic example of Australian hotel architecture of the 1920’s. Most of the rooms have been tastefully refurbished and are very comfortable. We will enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner with a trio of meats and roast veggies followed by yummy Christmas pudding with the comfort of an open fireplace. The next day we will visit Dangar Falls, have morning tea at the scenic Skywalk followed by lunch at Macksville RSL Club on the way home.

Tour highlights include ~ Take in the stunning scenery and views from Stanwell Tops, a famous launching point for hang gliders. Over 2 days we will travel parts of the Grand Pacific Drive a 140 kilometre scenic coastal drive taking you through rainforests, over the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge and through the coastal cities and townships of Wollongong, Shellharbour, Kiama and the Shoalhaven. Is so much more than a bridge – a scenic masterpiece, majestically sweeping over the waters of the Pacific! We will visit Wollongong harbour and lighthouses. We tour Nan Tien Temple an iconic Buddhist temple which includes lunch, the Tram Museum which includes tram rides. We will visit Port Kembla, Kiama blow hole, historic Berry and the wonderful Kangaroo Valley, Fitzroy Falls and lunch at the famous Robertson Inn. 

EXPLORE BATHURST & HILL END    TBA October 2019  NEW TRIP

Tour Highlights include ~ We will visit Mt Panorama Motor Racing Museum, Miss Traill’s historic house (includes morning tea), a High Tea and tour at the imposing Abercrombie House a national heritage treasure built in 1878, the Fossil & Mineral Museum tour and Bathurst Court House. We also spend a day exploring Hill End a well-preserved colonial goldmining town and its striking landscapes have attracted many famous Australian painters, including Brett Whiteley, John Olsen and Russell Drysdale. The lookouts offer spectacular views of the area. At the peak of the gold rush in the 1870s, the town had 28 pubs, an oyster bar and a kilometre of colourful shopfronts. Some of the old shops still stand today. We will view magnificent lookouts, visit Bald Hill tourist gold mine as well as History Hill Museum with morning tea and lunch included.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SPECTACULAR HUNTER VALLEY GARDENS ~  13th – 14th November 2018 NEW MOTEL

Cost is $380 per person which includes 1 night’s accommodation at Potters Hotel Brewery Resort, continental breakfast, Gardens entry & Train tour with commentary, Christmas Lights spectacular entry fee, wine tasting fee, Cheese tasting fee and lunch both days and dinner. Tour highlights include ~ Arrive at Pokolbin in time for lunch at the Hunter Valley Gardens Cafe. After lunch we board the miniature train for a 40 minute informative ride through the Gardens with expert commentary. Next we explore the Gardens Village and quaint little shops. Enjoy a quiet ale in the brewery before dinner (dinner included) at the Resort before departing for the Hunter Valley Gardens. The Lights Spectacular is the Southern Hemisphere's biggest and most breathtaking display of over 2 million lights. Day 2 we visit the Cheese Factory where we sample some cheese then we visit a local winery for a talk & tastings, next we browse the shops at Pokolbin Village and indulge ourselves at the yummy Chocolate & Fudge factory. Lunch is at East Maitland Bowling Club where we enjoy their famous all you can eat buffet lunch. 

THE RIVERBOAT POSTMAN BROOKLYN 20th ~ 21st November 2018 NEW TRIP 

Cost $365 per person* includes 1 nights accommodation at Galaxy Motel Gosford, 1 dinner and 1 buffet breakfast at the adjacent RSL club as well as 2 lunches and Riverboat luncheon cruise are included (*Based on twin share Single Supplement $60)

Tour highlights include ~ Travel to Nabiac for morning tea and browse the quaint little shops. We enjoy a Chinese buffet lunch at Hexham Bowling Club. We then travel to the Central Coast where we enjoy the spectacular ocean views of Norah Head Lighthouse and witness the comical Pelican feeding at The Entrance before checking into our Motel. On the second day we travel to Brooklyn & board the famous Riverboat Postman. A leisurely cruise along the beautiful Hawkesbury River stopping at Dangar & Milson Islands, Kangaroo Point, Bar Point, Fisherman’s Point & Milsons Passage. Cruise includes morning tea and delicious Ploughman’s Lunch whilst listening to expert and humourous commentary. Following the cruise we make our way home. 

TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL   18th – 20th January 2019  TAMWORTH MOTEL

Cost $585 per person* includes 2 nights accommodation at the Stockman’s Motel Tamworth (4 star rating) with continental breakfasts, Official Music Festival Guide, entry to Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, local festival shuttle bus unlimited day pass (*Based on Twin Share. Single Supplement $280). 

Tour Highlights include There are 700 performers over 10 days and the majority of the entertainment is free. All Pubs and Clubs have continuous entertainment throughout the festival. Peel St the main street has buskers performing all day and night and there are free concerts at various locations. We will visit the Golden Guitar, the Longyard Hotel, attend the opening night free concert including Fireworks display at Bicentennial Park and visit the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum. We will provide a 1 day pass for unlimited travel on the festival shuttle buses to help attend the various entertainment venues. Our accommodation is located in Tamworth so you will be able to attend some evening shows if you wish.
